The Product and its Purpose
Compost
Accelerator is a granular powder which rapidly degrades effluents with a predominantly
carbohydrate content. The bacterial and fungal strains in the product ensure
complete degradation of such materials. The product also improves the settlement
characteristics of effluents rich in vegetable matter. When Compost Accelerator
is used for composting the process is accelerated and the compost produced
is of a consistent quality. The product is homogeneous and safe to use. It
does not contain any pathogens.

Microbial
Content
The
product contains 11 strains belonging to the Azotobacter, Bacillus, Pseudomonas
and Chaetomium genera. The total viable count in the ready to use product
is not less than 5.5 x 108 cfu/g.
Operating Conditions
The micro-organisms in the product need to be reactivated in warm water (temperature
range 25 - 30oC) for about 30 to 60 minutes before application. The product
is most effective when the operating conditions during treatment are close
to the optimum listed below:
